"If You Build It"

Like Moving Image’s disruptive blending of data with creativity to supercharge business and production results, a good framework is as essential for inspired creation as it is for analytics. When done effectively, the one can significantly compliment the other. The parallels between this insight and nrg digital’s film for construction specialist Q Scaffolding aren’t lost on us, and we’re ultimately brought a brand film that’s as interesting as it is brisk in design.

Every building, every project and campaign needs a strong support. So, a savvy collaboration like this, showcasing the importance of client confidence in a construction brand like Q, fosters all the right connections desired between brand and audience.

Nrg’s innovative approach to capturing a sector normally underrepresented in the halls of brand film, crafting through lines of foundational trust, is no doubt something Q Scaffolding’s prospective clients would likely place high on their agenda. It’s also clear from the outset that creative choices have been made here to avoid the technical-heavy, to-camera stylings synonymous with brand film of the construction sector. These too have their place, but that’s not what Q or nrg were looking for.

An almost entirely black and white palette brings forward, and elevates, the Q brand. Vibrant greens of hi-vis vests, safety harnesses, carbon neutral vans, and digital insights in the office make explainer-come-documentary seem fresh and more like the narrative of luxe automaker films that say “look here, this is what matters most to us, because it matters to you”.

Like Q’s business ethos, there’s attention to the visual details of lighting and the power of aerial footage, and it works. Moving beyond London to illustrate scope is a smart creative decision, emphasising the heights (and distances) that good support can take us to. Good brand films really gain their legs when they narratively mirror specific business aims.

A tight shoot window of 4 days further highlights how both attention to detail and precise preparation are founding components across the full range nrg’s work. Some of which we’ve previously written about here on their 'Deaf Thunder' Campaign.

We’re deftly shown Q Scaffolding as the safe pair of hands clients in this space will need, but after being ranked so strongly in 2023’s list of the UK Top 50 brand film producers, so too are nrg digital.
